Star padded slowly out of the forest, headed towards the Peace Tree.
The Peace Tree.... if any cat here knew the REAL story behind this tree, they would probably never go near it again, Star thought to himself.
He sat down in his favorite spot and sighed. There were so few cats, he wondered where they all were. Each day, he found it harder and harder to get up and greet the cats of his Clan. If he could barely talk to his Clanmates, how was he supposed to lead his Clan?
"Help me, StarClan! Tell me what to do!" Star yowled at the stars.
The silent stars glittered coldly back at him, giving him no answer.

Shadowstar walked up behind star. "Greetings Star. Have you ever wondered at what has really happened at this tree before we were leaders and were just kits?" she asked him looking at the tree in amazement.

Star looked around as Shadowstar padded towards him. He kept his eyes carefully shielded, his problems were his own, for now anyway.
"Greetings, Shadowstar. Those were dark times indeed. Back when cats had no knowledge of StarClan and worshipped darkness and evil. Back when they would sacrifice innocent cats in their rituals here in order to protect themselves from misfortune. Yes I remember those days well. It was not until StarClan showed me the light that all the killing finally stopped," Star meowed, a shiver running down his spine despite the warm weather.

"Yes they were i remeber them well and still hear storys from some of the elders. If you had not stopped the killings i would have been the next one to go. I remeber my mother crying for days when they told her that they were going to come for me soon. Then you stopped them. I hear that noblelion is trying to bring the dark times back." Shadowstar looked away. "we must stop him we can not go back to that."

Star nodded his pelt bristling with fear at what Shadowstar did not know. She did not know that Noblelion wasn't the real mastermind behind all the killings. But Star knew, and his name still struck fear in his heart. He had met this mastermind when he had been but a kit, and was not eager to meet him again.
He glanced at Shadowstar, wondering if he should tell her the truth.

Shadow said filling herself with rage and planning how to get rid of noblelion once and for all. "Will you help star?" She asked as she turned to him and saw his face with worry and thought. "Star you okay if you need help with something or you need to tell me anything you can tell me. When i became mates with your brother we became family." She told him

Star looked at Shadowstar hesitantly for a second. Thoughts were running through his head at light speed. He wanted to tell her his secret, but he had made a promise to StarClan that he wouldn't. Suddenly, Sootpelt's scent wreathed around him.
"It's okay, you may tell Shadowstar," Sootpelt purred in his ear.
"Thank you," Star whispered, aloud he meowed, "Shadowstar, there is something I must tell you."

"I'm in, but first, a little story," Star meowed.
"when I was but a kit, I had a dream. There was a cat, whose pelt was made of shadows and its eyes were bright red. As I looked upon him, I felt terror and dread coursing through every hair on my pelt. The former LionClan leader, Flamestar, led me away and told me that this cat's name was Blood, and that he was the reason why everyone was sacrificing each other. He whispered into their minds and told them that this was the way to protect themselves from great evil. But, the sacrifices only made made him stronger."
Star sighed, unwilling to go on. As much as he hated Noblelion, he feared Blood more. And, currently, their only link to Blood, besides Shadowstar's kits, was Noblelion himself.

"I'm not covering for Noblelion. However, Blood is a creature to fear. He will make your worst nightmares come true, and turn your own fears against you. Right now I am..... terrified of him. I am hoping that we will be able to put an end to him, however," Star meowed, feeling chills run down his spine.

"I am in, but this is bigger than the both of us. We're going to need the help of all the cats and StarClan to end this. And, as much as I don't like to admit it, we need Noblelion's help too. Noblelion is the only one who might know enough about Blood to help take him down," Star replied, a feeling of foreboding coming upon him.

Star knew from the beginning that Shadowstar would not go along with his plan. Why would she? She did not understand that Star was trying to save his family from the darkness that would consume them.
"Shadowstar, I understand that Noblelion has done some terrible things. But would you really let that get in the way of you helping me to stop the most evil creature in the universe from killing innocent cats?" Star whispered.

Star rose to his full height and spoke in an angry voice, "Shadowstar, stop dwelling on the past! All Clans suffered, mine more than any other! Yet, I am prepared to work with him! Stop thinking about you and your Clan and think about your kits and all the other Clans!"

Shadow Glared at him. "Fine but if any fo my cats including my kits get damaged by a claw of his. Also if he thinks he can over power me. I will personal dice him out and spread him across all of our territory.... Do you understand me star?" She asked him in a demanding voice.

"I think we should make a trip over to his territory tomorrow. Bring Blackheart and Eagletalon and I'll bring some other warriors from my Clan and others. We can meet up at his border," Star meowed.
