"Are all of you ready?" Star asked authoritatively.
"Ready as ever," Skystorm meowed, his siblings, and Stormclaw nodded in agreement.
Sun just sat there, eyes closed as though asleep. Star was somewhat unnerved by Sun's calm attitude toward the whole situation.
"Once the others get here, I'll explain how to enter the Dark Forest through the Blood Tree," Star continued, shuddering slightly at the thought of what they had to do.

Shadow came though the leaves to where star was. "good morning star. You all know you do not have to do this, right?" she asked just letting them know one last time.
Leaf came out of her den went up a tree and went towards where star and the others were nutshell stayed up in the tree. "The more you ask dear sister the more they will go anyways." She said ask she jump down behind sun.

Sun nodded, as Blackheart looked at him angrily and snarled, "This is no time to be napping!"
Sun flicked his tail tip before opening his eyes and meowing, "I wasn't napping, I was praying to the Tribe of Endless Hunting for strength and protection for my friends and loved ones. Maybe you should all do the same."
Star nodded and replied, "My Clan does that every morning, especially on a morning such as this. Anyway, is everyone ready?"

"Everyone this is not the time to be fighting between ourselves.! Sun if they with to pray for themselves that is thier choice, just because you do it does not mean that we all have to do it." Shadow told them. Leaf sat away, " We Have to focus on the main thing everyone: Blood. If we waste time qeuling with each other where will the energy be to fight Blood?" Leaf asked them.

Sun blinked at Shadowstar, then licked his front paw and meowed, "Of course, Shadowstar. I was merely making a point: don't immediately judge someone before you know them, and don't snap at someone for praying."
Star padded up next to his brother and laid his tail on his shoulders and whispered, "Look, I know we're all on edge today, you more than others, but we all need to calm down and cooperate with each other."
Blackheart grunted, shrugged off Star's tail, and sat beside his mate. Sun looked at Star sympathetically for a second before grooming himself again.
Star sighed, looked up at the disappearing stars, and murmured, "StarClan, give us the strength to do this!"
Eagletalon clawed the dirt impatiently, waiting for orders.

Shaodw looked up at starclan. 'Please star clan prove to me that my fate it to finish blood even if it cost every oz of my blood.' She looked at her paws. "Everyone ready for this?" She asked them. "Remember Blood is MINE."
Leaf nodded. "Ready as i could be." She told them. She nodded to show shadow that she had no problems with Blood being Shadow's. She honestly wanted nothing to do with Blood.

Star nodded, hesitated for a second, then spoke, "Okay, in order to use the blood tree, the blood of an innocent cat must be spilled..."
"You mean one of us has to die?" Stormclaw meowed.
"No, they don't necessarily have to die. But it does mean one of us has to stay behind," Wolffang replied anxiously.
There was a long silence, then Eagletalon spoke, "So, who's gonna stay behind?"
Eagletalon and Blackheart both looked at Sun.

"I know it can't be me." Shadow said. And she turned and looked at sun as well. Leaf didnt like the way everyone was looking. Leaf stepped forward nervous for what she was about to say but braved up. "Ill do it. We will spill my blood." Leaf said the best she could hoping her voice didnt break. "I will stay behind." She told them and then looked at sun in hope that he would tell her she can't.

Sun padded up to Leaf, put his tail over her mouth, and said, "Hush now, you're not staying here, and you're not getting hurt," he looked around at the others and said, with the tiniest hint of a growl in his voice, "I'm not either."
"I'll stay then," meowed Stormclaw.
"No, I'll stay," growled Eagletalon.
"Oh, shut up, all of you. None of you are staying behind! I am," Nightwing meowed irritably.
Star, Skystorm, and Wolffang all looked away, not wanting to meet Nightwing's gaze.

"Everyone stop!" Leaf yowled after spatting out suns tail. "I said i was stay and that is final. Im sorry sun but i have to do this it will work better if you have blood of Blood. " She told them. "And shadow is right she cant stay she needs to get rifd of Blood and if i spill my blood it will give you guys more time. So the final say is i am staying." Leaf retorted to all of them. "and sun if you were not going to offer your blood dont ever stop me again." Leaf warned.
Shadow looked at leaf and she saw a whole new light on leaf. "Leaf if you really dont want to stay you could help me killed blood, but your also right that we would have a better chance if we spill the blood of Blood's kids. But we can't take to much other wise a cat will have to stay behind to help you get better. May Starclan be greatful for what you are doing Leaf." Shadow said and walked up to her and touched her nose. "Im glad your my sister." She purred to leaf and leaf purred back.

Sun looked at Leaf for a second then meowed, "My blood would not have worked, only the blood of a Clan cat will work."
Star nodded at Sun in agreement then looked at Leaf and meowed, "Your blood won't work either, it has to be the blood of an innocent cat. I don't know much about your mother, but your father is far from innocent. His blood runs in your veins, the blood of an evil cat. Meaning your blood isn't completely pure, it has an evil taint."
"Oh for StarClan's sake, can we hurry it up? I didn't come all the way out here just to waste time! Just cut me, spill my blood, kill Blood, and get out so we can handle Noblelion next!" Nightwing hissed, growing more irritated by the second.
Eagletalon twitched his ear, something had just occured to him. Nightwing was the granddaughter of Noblelion, wouldn't that mean that her blood carried an evil taint as well? Eagletalon looked at Shadowstar, wondering if she was thinking the same thing.

"Wait a minute, Nightwing i dont think your blood would work either." Shadow said. "Your the Granddaughter of Noblelion and her is not the purest either." Shadow reminded everyone. "So We ran into another problem." Shadow continued.
Leaf looked at them n disagreement. "Really guys i think if we spill blood of Blood it may weaken him and increase our chance of everyone coming back." Leaf told them. "It could not hurt to try." She matter of factly told them.

Star twitched the tip of his tail before replying, "True, Noblelion is her grandfather, but I only had a small taint of evil in my blood, and Sootpelt didn't have any. That was enough to keep Nightwing and my other kits' blood pure. Leaf, trust me when I say it won't work. I have studied and learned everything I could about Blood and anything to do with him, such as the Blood Tree, my whole life. As such, I have quite an expanse of knowledge of what will and won't work."

Star twitched his ear irritably and opened his mouth to reply, then closed it when Sun gave him a look.
Sun laid his tail on Leaf's shoulders and whispered in her ear, "Look, I may have only just met him but, I have a feeling that Star knows what he's talking about. If we spill your blood and it doesn't work, we would have wounded you for nothing. We can't afford any unnecessary injuries, especially going into battle against Blood. We're going to need our strongest cats, so why not let Nightwing spill her blood if she's fully prepared to do it?"

Leaf Darted away from him. "And you think i am less prepared than Her?" She hissed and glared at Night. "I had a dream in it and Blood was in it. If we wond me or Shadow we wound him. We have a better chance getting in and out if we spill my blood and if none of you will spill it i will spill it myself." She yowled at all of them.

Star looked at her before hissing, "That's not how it works. You can't spill your own blood, another cat must wound you, they must have your blood on their claws."
"Which is exactly why I can't let you do this, Leaf. I can't bring myself to hurt you," Sun meowed, a pained look in his eyes.

Leaf looked at shadow. "Fine if all of you are to much of a mouse to do it i will do it." Shadow told all of them. "I know how much this means to my sister. So i will do it." she hissed at all of them annoyed that they refused to spill leafs blood just beacuse of who her father was. "I thought all of that finally ended when we argueed about wither you were loyal to me or not. Well she is my family, so i am loyal to her and i hope she is loyal to me as well." Shadow said and looked at Leaf and nodded. Leaf looked at Shadow with thankful eyes.

Star lashed his tail angrily and growled, "You just don't understand how it works! Each cat that wants to go through the Blood Tree and into the Dark Forest must each have the blood of an innocent cat! It has to be someone pure, as well as someone strong enough to make it back home even with all those wounds!"
"Plus, if you really want to get revenge on Blood, wouldn't you rather face him head-on rather than stay here cowering like a frightened mouse," Nightwing snarled.
