"To help us fight Blood's army, Nightwing doesn't really care so it would be best for her to stay behind while the rest of us go in and hold off the army while Shadowstar has her confrontation with Blood," Star replied, forcing himself to relax.

"I dont want to fight. " she told star. Leaf turned around looked at shadow and then ran off. "Star, all she wanted to do was help not fight. Now we have no choice but to use nightwing. Now what if it does not work what are going to do then?" she asked.

Sun looked at Leaf and chased after her. When he caught up with her he meowed, "You can't run away from your troubles, you must face them head-on. You don't have to help us fight the army, but you need to be there for your sister should her courage fail her once she meets Blood."
Star looked at Shadowstar before replying, "It will work, it has to."

"And mice will fly." Shadow snotted at him. She gathered everything she had left and got ready to face Blood.
Leaf looked at Sun. "She will do fine they only reason i tagged along was to supply the blood needed." Sh told him and looked away.

"And you need to let others try if they want to. Star you do not want eagleclan as your enemy." Shadow warned him. "Lets get this thing over with.... It seems Leaf and Sun are not coming back." She growled.
Leaf looked at him for a second and then turned her head. "If there is then it will have to be filled by someone else." She told him and looked away.

"Well what role is there for me to fill if the role i came for is being taken by someone who doent care on wiether or not we would do this." Leaf asked him.
Shadow looked at star. "You know im getting really tired of this spill at the blood you want, but remeber after this dont ask for help from Eagleclan. All cat should be able to do as they wish. Leaf wished to spill her blood for us and you refuse. Only you did, if we really needed to use nightwing we would have gotten a sign from Starclan that leaf would not work. But you rejected her, so does that really make Nightwing pure if her own father wants to more in likely spill her blood than someone elses?" Shaodw told him and in the asked questioned his true feelings for his family.

Star snarled, angry that anyone would question his feelings for his family, and replied, his voice lined with anger and grief, "Their mother died when they were barely three moons old, and I have had to raise them since. I am closer to my kits than anyone else. I love my kits more than anything else in the world. If I could, I would gladly take Nightwing's place, however I am unable to.... We all discussed this last night, Nightwing volunteered and I..."
"My father tried to change my mind, but I would not let him. Every cat here has proved that they are worthy of joining StarClan. What have I done? I've never been a hero, I've never done anything to help anyone. This is my chance... and I think it's also my destiny," Nightwing meowed, stepping in front of her father to meet Shadowstar's gaze.
"Well, the way I see it, you have two choices: one, you go with Shadowstar and help her face Blood, or you stay here with Nightwing to help protect her from badgers and foxes and dogs," Sun meowed.

"That's all I can do, Leaf. I can't enter because I'm not a Clan cat. Besides, it would be great to have some company and it gives us a chance to get to know each other better," Sun meowed, his eyes gleaming.

"So...who will make the first cut?" Eagletalon meowed after a few minutes of silence.

Leaf walked back. "Well for one i am staying back. For cats who are not in clans may not pass... or so i have been told." Leaf spoke up.
Shadow looked at all of the faces of the cats. "I think Star should first." Shadow smiled.

Star froze for a second before nodding and saying, "The leaders should be an example to their warriors. I will go first, the you, Shadowstar. And then we'll go from there."
Star padded over to his daughter whispered, "I'm sorry." Then unsheathed one claw and raked across Nightwing's shoulders. He could feel her tense as he did so and pulled his paw away to reveal a claw dripping with blood.
"Remember, each cat must make a fresh cut, alright?" Star meowed, shaking at what he had done and what was about to be done.

Shadow walked up to night. she whispered in her ear. "Leaf would have love to do this. You didnt have to do this. It would have worked, i know it would have thats how i got in before. Speak up about me saying this i will slice you throat right here." Shadow slide out a claw and sliced her side. Then she walked away from nigth smiling.
Leaf stood and watched as shadow went up to night and whisper something to her and then cut her.

"No, this is my destiny. Your threats won't work on me Shadowstar," Nightwing hissed, her eyes glistening with pain.
Wolffang narrowed her eyes at Shadowstar, something was up with her. Wolffang shook her head and walked up to her sister.
"Thank you for doing this, sister. I'm not sure if I could have had the strength to do what you're doing," Wolffang whispered to her sister as she cut her shoulder.
"Stay strong, my former apprentice," Blackheart whispered with affection, as though he were speaking to his own daughter.
He cut her other shoulder then looked at Eagletalon. Eagletalon stood there, frozen, not wanting to wound Nightwing any more than she had already been. He could injure cats in the midst of battle but this....he looked at his leader helplessly.

"We will see Nightwing." Shadow said and then looked at Eagletalon and nodded. "Your up." She told him, and watched Nightwing carefully hoping none of the other cats realize that she is just a pawn for Blood. Shadow had no intentions of killing Blood, she was going to free her father from the prision Starclan had put him in.
Leaf walked up to Eagle and brushed her tail on his shoulder. "It will be okay, All you need is a little blood and you will be able to enter beside your clan mate." Leaf told him in a sooth voice, she was calm, even for know Blood will not go down without a fight.

Eagletalon relaxed then nodded and walked over to Nightwing. As he was doing this, Wolffang whispered to Skystorm, "I think Shadowstar is up to something, and Nightwing knows what it is."
"There's nothing we can do about it now, we'll just have to keep an eye on her. Maybe Leaf knows something," Skystorm whispered back, walking up to Nightwing after Eagletalon had taken his turn.
Wolffang nodded, walked over to Leaf, and whispered, "Is Shadowstar planning something, Leaf?"

Shadow sat and smiled knowing she has to keep Nightwings blood on her claws if she wanted to help her father.
Leaf looked at Wolffang. "What do you mean? The only thing i know that she is planning was to kill Blood. Why do yo ask?" Leaf wondered tilting her head.
