[Eclipsesoul]

Eclipsesoul sat, looking up in the sky, thinking about the day she saw her father murder her mother. "I was so young, you should have known better than to lean on me. and now i cry in the middle of the night... because of you." She whispered.

Frozenslash saw a small figure, sitting, staring up into the sky. It was quite dark; twilight, so Frozenslash presumed the cat had come here to be alone. As she approached her, she saw that it was in fact another warrior. She started, what was she doing out here ?! She crept up closer, planning to spy on her instead of talk to her. Millions of thoughts raced through her head. Perhaps she was waiting for some cat ? Perhaps she just simply wanted some time alone ? She didn't know, but she suddenly felt like a curious kit and shook herself angrily.

(erm, shes a warrior.) She whispered some more, "because of you, i find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me." She felt tears running down her cheeks. She looked at her paws and lied down, her head buried in her fur. Why did this happen to me? She thought. WHY ME?? She looked around, hoping everyone is still asleep. She didn't see anybody, so she sighed. She wished her parents had been happy...

She crept up to her. 'Erm, Eclipsesoul ?' She looked puzzled and hoped she wasn't intruding too much. 'A - Are you okay ?' She saw tears running down the other warrior's face and her eyes grew wide. 'Are you injured, has something happened to another cat ?' Her voice rose in pitch and she began to look quite frantice, which in fact, she was.

"No...... I-I'm fine." She got up and faced Frozenslash. "It's just....... nevermind. You wouldn't understand, no cat ever will. I am alone, and i will be forever." She turned and walked slowly into the warrior's den.

Frozenslash stood, gaping after her. 'Hang on ! How are you alone ?! You have all of your clan to support you. And you don't know if any cat would understand.. because.. you have to tell them firstly !!' She wondered if she was being a bit intrusive and bossy towards the other cat, but she really believed in what she said. She paced after her, her face set in a look of determination.

"Frozenslash..... i watched my dad push my mom off a cliff.... you'll NEVER know what that's like! And now... i can't ever be truly happy." she argued. She looked at the moon. "I... I will never have a mate because i'm scared that he's going to be like my father...."

Frozenslash felt a chill of horror pass through her at the cats next words. 'Oh..' she felt deflated and sheepish. 'Well, I'm sorry.. sorry to hear that.' Then the determination came back again, to make this cat feel even a bit happier. 'Look, you don't KNOW that every cat will be like that !' She said stubbornly, 'just.. give it a go!' She smiled, but it was very faint and she was beginning to feel a little worried; perhaps she was pushing it too far and this cat would take it out on her.

"I'm afraid....." She wailed. "I don't ever want to see another murder.... or a dead cat. When i saw my mom's body where she dropped.... so much blood.... I thought about jumping myself..."

Frozeslash's fur began to prickle with fear and nerves. She didn't like the thought of suicide; she couldn't imagine what trauma this cat was facing. She rested her tail lightly on her shoulder, hoping this gesture of kindness wouldn't be taken the wrong way. 'It's.. well, it's not ok, but.. just try to calm a little !' She didn't quite know what to say and her eyes glittered with worry.

"Thank you, Frozenslash. I have never opened up like that with another cat. I feel better now that somebody knows what i'm going through, what i've BEEN going through since i was a kit." She looked at the deputy, bowed her head in respect and thanks, and walked into the warrior's den, where she curled up in her nest, and soon fell asleep.

Frozenslash nodded and watched her as the cat went off. She gave a sigh, happy that she had relieved the other cat of some of her burden. Poor her! Imagine carrying that round with you all your life... She drifted off into thought, forgetting that she was still standing in the middle of the camp. A flicker of movement caught her and eye and she twisted around quickly, only to find it was another cat, obviously heading back into camp after hunting or something. This brought her back to her sense and she decided to take a nap to. She fell down into her nest, quite tired out.

As she slept, she dreamed. She dreamed first of a meadow, a bright, sunny meadow. She saw flowers and butterflies of all sorts. She smiled, for the first time in a long time. She played. She frolicked. She twirled. She felt happy. But then, sadly, that dream ended. Next was a memory. It was a memory of the day when her dad scratched her for the first time. She remembered the pain she felt, the blood she lost. Her father had told the medicine cat that she had been cut by a sharp bush branch. Eclipsesoul had gone along with what her father said, because she was afraid of him. Then her dreams ended, and her sleep went black.

Frozenslash couldn't sleep. She knew she wouldn't be able to. The horror was too new. She closed her eyes, it was so dark. Was that what it felt like to die ? she wondered. She imagined the killing, she didn't know why. She didn't want to.. yet it filled every cell of her mind, her imagination was running wild, yet it seemed so realistic. Yet.. she must have dreamt, for she did not know what the cat looked like and it certainly wasn't her standing on that cliff.

She was the mother cat, standing alone, harmless, defenceless. She heard the rush of pawsteps and she looked up. It was her mate, in her head, he would be tall and black, with handsome green eyes. He had a strange look to him and she would ask what was wrong. He would grab her. She would yowl, loudly, unforgivingly he would begin to carry her forwards, teeth forcing themselves deeply into her neck. Her paws would flail, widely, catching onto anything they found. Yet.. his power and strength would be too great.. she would fall.. over, over.. The great body of water was rushing up to meet her head, yet she never stopped calling..

She woke, he whole pelt was drenched with sweat and her breathing was quick and harsh, like she really had fallen into the water. She opened her eyes, not much light was to be seen. She guessed it was still night, or perhaps, early morning. She couldn't sleep; not after that. She crept out of the den.

She awoke as she heard movement. It was Frozenslash, creeping out the den. She decided to follow her, to see why she was up so early. She was careful not to step on any of her clanmates or make a racket. "Um... Frozenslash?" She hesitantly mewed when she was in the camp.

Frozenslash spun around, her fur was raised and her teeth were bared. 'Oh..' she meowed, 'it's just you.. thank StarClan.' She muttered this quietly, before relaxing her fur, making her look much less hostile. 'Uhm.. what are you doing up so early, as well ?' She was a little surprised and confused and the look showed through on her face. As she waited for her reply, she thought of how paranoid she had become, almost just overnight. I have to calm down, forget about it.. It's not even me it happened to ! Yet, she couldn't and once again became lost in the horror of it all.

She flinched. Why was Frozenslash being so... well, paranoid? She cleared her throat before speaking again. "Well... i usually wake up this early... but you don't." She meowed, narrowing her eyes. "What's wrong?"
