Shadow busted threw to camp and quickly went into her den, the last thing she wanted was to be asked a million questions by her clan. She wanted some time alone, she wanted to figure out what to do. All everyone knew about her was a lie. Was her leadership a lie too?

Shadow looked up. "Oh Sootpelt, i am just so confused. I could have still been a strong leader if i would have known the truth. But why did most of the truth come from Bloods moutha dn not from Starclans?" She asked looking up at her.

"I knew nothing of your parentage, Shadowstar, believe me, otherwise I would have told you. My guess is that they felt that what you don't know won't hurt you. However, I can tell that it has hurt you very badly, my friend, and on behalf of StarClan, I apologize. No one should have gone through what you went through. But, Shadowstar, you should not blame your father for not telling you. He wanted to, and it pained him to watch you grow up without him. I know the feeling, it is something no parent should ever feel. I'm not asking you to feel sorry for him, I'm just telling you what you need to know," Sootpelt meowed sympathetically, her eyes sad.

"oh sootpelt. I treated him so badly. I am just confused, I thought the only reason why I would be able to hurt blood was because he was my father.... Now that I know that he wasn't my father it pains me that I never knew who my father was. As well as my mother. I thought that I was a pure eagleclan warrior, that I was as pure as almost every cat in the clan. Now I finally understand why Starclan gave me strength and trust. Because both are so easily broken with one lie. " shadow told her and then turned away from her.

My kits are not full WolfClan, yet they are still loved and accepted by their Clan. Just as you are loved and accepted by your Clan. Be strong and proud, Shadowstar. Be the cat your father knew you would become the day he laid eyes on you. Do not wallow in the past, look to the present and future, Shadowstar," Sootpelt meowed wisely.
Sootpelt tilted her head slightly and said, "I see a lot of your father in you, not just your looks but your personality as well. Though you do have some of your mother's personality as well. She was quite the fiery one if I recall correctly."

Shadow smiled a little bit. "I miss you dearly Sootpelt." Shadow told her and stood up. "I know what i must do. I can correct my clan of my past after the battle has ended." She told her.

"I miss you too, Shadowstar. I only wish that I had been alive to see you become part of my family. You will make your parents proud, Shadowstar. If you ever need anything, feel free to ask me or Star. StarClan will always be with you," Sootpelt meowed, dipping her head.
"Shadowstar? Is everything okay?" Blackheart meowed anxiously from the den entrance.
(I think Sootpelt is the Spottedleaf of this site XD)

Shadow nodded to sootpelt. " thank you. For.... Everything." she told her with her eyes showing that she really meant everything.. Shadow jumped at blackhearts call for her. " I'm fine." she called back at him wondering how much he had heard.

Blackheart wandered in nervously, not seeing Sootpelt. He looked at his mate and meowed, "Listen I know a lot has been happening lately-what with Blood not really being your father and all. I just wanted you to know that I still love you more than anything else. You will always have my support and the support of your Clanmates."

Blackheart touched her nose affectionately, relaxing his tensed muscles. He stepped back, looking at his mate and saying, "I've stalled them for as long as I could, but you need to speak with your Clan."
"I wish you well, Shadowstar. Tell Star and my children I love them....also, if you run into a loner named Seto, tell him I said 'Thank you, young dragon.' He will know what it means. I will always be around if you need me, until then, fair well," Sootpelt meowed, walking slowly out of the den.

Eagletalon stood at the entrance of Shadowstar's den, preventing anyone from entering. As Shadowstar came out, he dipped his head respectfully and silenced the whispering cats with a glare.
"We're ready whenever you are, Shadowstar," Eagletalon meowed, "They don't know what's been going on, they didn't meet Blood or....they're scared and worried, Shadowstar," Eagletalon added in a lower voice.
"You'll do fine," Blackheart meowed, stepping out behind her.

Shadow dipped her head and went before her clan. "may all cats gather below. I have had a rough spot, I have had to make dissions most of you can not think of. One of them involves all of you, my clan, and even though some of you may not like the choice I made it was for the best. Well first off I believe I should make a correction to what my life has been. Most of you may look at me now and see Blood, well I have just found out I am not his daughter.... Nor was my mother of this clan." shadow looked down at her clan wonder what they were thinking of her, she wanted one of them to speak out and tell her that she didn't deserve to be leader. She knew it was the truth. She looked back at Blackheart and she paused for a moment

Shadow snapped her head towards Snakewing."Do i looke like i was ever a rouge! I trained by your side for moons! You out of every other cat questions to whom i was loyal to." She growled. And then looked at blackheart and Eagletalon and calmed herself down. "I may have not been Bloods daughterr, but i am the daughter of a brave, fearless, and noble cat. My real father was Bravewolf!. My mother on theother hand was a rouge, but i do not blame my father and you should not blame me. I had no choice, but i make my choices now." she said with power in her voice. "I was given nine lives to protect my clan and defend my family, and thats all i have ever done. And thats what i am doing now. Starclan has turned their backs on us, they have tried to lay out a path that dooms every clan and every cat. Well i am telling them that we make our own paths, we make our own choices!" She reminded them. "Can all of you except that?" She asked them.

All of the cats murmured among themselves at the mention of Bravewolf. Some of them even looked at her with new found respect. However, not everyone was happy with Shadowstar's decision to turn away from StarClan.
"'Make our own path?' We can't abandon StarClan!" Rabbitfoot meowed.
"She is right, StarClan has guided us for many years. We must continue to trust them," Grassclaw the elder growled in his deep voice.
Blackheart looked at his mate anxiously and even Eagletalon was at a loss for words. He had sworn to StarClan as well as Shadowstar his undying loyalty to his leader. But, StarClan had given him the strength he needed to support her. In his mind a silent war waged between two sides: Shadowstar or StarClan?

Shadow yowled and waited for them to get quiet. "how can you trust cats who are laying a path of doom out for us? They are wanting us to die and join them. It may not be easy at first but we will get by. We have the best hunters and the best fighters. " she said looking amOng her clan and saw all the worried faces. "We will make it though! I have resent lost a life and that is how I knew starclan had abandoned us... I know it is common for cats to lose a life but when starclan keeps you from the truth and let's you get attacked but another cat without even giving me a warning.... I smell betrayal. " shadow said and looked at her clan she wanted to look away and go in her den and just curl up and sleep. But she couldn't her clan needed her.

"StarClan cannot foresee everything, Shadowstar," Blackheart meowed reasonably.
"How do you know that StarClan is leading us all down a dark path? Maybe it's just you who is being led down a dark path," Snakewing growled.
"I say we put it to a vote. Shadowstar, or StarClan? What do you think of that, Shadowstar?" Rabbitfoot meowed, looking at friend supportively.
